Elephant Rock Guesthouse is situated in Kleinmond, a peaceful Western Cape coastal village. Nestling at the foot of the Kogelberg Mountain Range, Kleinmond borders on the KOGELBERG BIOSPHERE RESERVE which is home to 1600 species of indigenous plants. The reserve was recently declared a World Heritage Area. The picturesque town of Kleinmond also forms part of the Overberg Whale Coast, which includes places like Hermanus and Gansbaai to the East.
Elephant Rock Guesthouse has taken its name from a rock formation, resembling the profile of an elephant, on a hill just outside the town. The perfectly positioned guesthouse is only 200 metres from Kleinmond's "Blue Flag" main beach, and also close to a paved walking trail which offers magnificent sea and landscape views.
Steeped in history, just a decade ago, Elephant Rock Guesthouse was the original historic building of the old Kleinmond police station. Today it is difficult to believe that this comfortable guesthouse was once a police station which housed convicts!
The guesthouse boasts a beautiful outside area, encompassing a splash pool, where you can cool off and relax at your leisure. The ambiance of the Elephant Rock Guesthouse lounge and dining area is second to none, as are the six luxuriously appointed bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms equipped with all the necessary toiletries. Each room is individually named, each with its own unique features
